End of an era

Concord

I was lucky enough to shoot The Australian Ballet's production Concord at the Sydney Opera House late last year, but haven't got around to posting the results here. Better late than never!

Imagine Istanbul

Istanbul was everything I imagined it to be, and more...an incredibly cosmopolitan city which meshes the old and new seamlessly. From the Grand Bazaar and Spice Market to the Bosphorus and Blue Mosque, Istanbul buzzes with atmosphere and never fails to delight or surprise. 

Whirling Dervish

For the last few years, one of my aims has been to photograph the whirling dervishes in Turkey. Well, I finally did it. Here's the first shot, more to come when I've finished going through them!

The Dancers Company

The Dancer's Company of the Australian Ballet is comprised of young talented dancers being groomed to join the big leagues one day.

Jasmine wanted to do something special for herself, so together we created these dance images of her. I like their rawness and intimacy.

Firebird rehearsals

It was my privilege to shoot The Australian Ballet dancers in rehearsal with Graeme Murphy and Janet Vernon. The choreographic process always fascinates me, even more so when I get the chance to watch a master at work.

Colours of my Life

I have recently entered a competition called Colors of my Life, which is a search for the two images that best express the colours, tones and shades in peoples' personal worlds. These are mine...the first is of a dance troupe performing in a park in Harlem, New York, and the other is of dancer Irene Cioni in a farmhouse in Tuscany.

P.S. Feb 4th 2009 - I have just been informed that one of my images was chosen to be published in the Colors of My Life book in Europe!

I heart Tuscany
